English Enhancement

The College provides targeted language support that helps students who are weaker in English strengthen their foundational English skills and better meet the linguistic demands of their academic studies and campus life (all courses in all programmes use English as the medium of instruction except Chinese courses).

Through a series of interactive and confidence-building workshops and authentic college-related contexts, the English Enhancement Course aims to enhance students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while expanding their vocabulary and improving their command of basic grammar.  This course also seeks to build students’ confidence and motivation in learning English by adopting a supportive learning environment, engaging activities, and personalized feedback.

Ultimately, it serves as an early intervention measure to improve students’ readiness for tertiary education and support their overall integration into the College. We hope to enable students to use English more effectively in classrooms, group discussions, presentations, and everyday College interactions.
