The Kai Tak Cruise Terminal (“KTCT”) is a crucial piece of infrastructure supporting the development of cruise tourism in Hong Kong. Located on the former site of one of the world's most challenging airport runways, KTCT is now one of the premier cruise facilities globally. Commissioned in June 2013, the three-storey building features light-filled passenger and service areas, panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, and a scenic rooftop park with greenery.
The educational visit to KTCT will include an approximate one-hour guided around the terminal and introduce various green building features at the Terminal, such as the District Cooling System and natural air ventilation, as well as their green efforts aimed at saving electricity and minimizing carbon footprint. Additionally, the visit will cover the operation and management of the cruise terminal, and the importance of cruising to the tourism industry in Hong Kong.
