Python is the most popular computer language in the modern world and it has a lot of applications. Most importantly, it is easy to learn and use even if you have no knowledge on computer language. The objective of this course is to introduce the basic concepts and code-writing skills of the computer program Python to the students. By adopting a step-by-step approach, participants can learn the basic coding skills of data analyses. Learning Python can open the doors to numerous career opportunities and enable you to work on a wide range of projects. This will enable the students to substantiate their CVs for future work or study.

The Kai Tak Cruise Terminal (“KTCT”) is a crucial piece of infrastructure supporting the development of cruise tourism in Hong Kong. Located on the former site of one of the world's most challenging airport runways, KTCT is now one of the premier cruise facilities globally. Commissioned in June 2013, the three-storey building features light-filled passenger and service areas, panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, and a scenic rooftop park with greenery.

The educational visit to KTCT will include an approximate one-hour guided around the terminal and introduce various green building features at the Terminal, such as the District Cooling System and natural air ventilation, as well as their green efforts aimed at saving electricity and minimizing carbon footprint. Additionally, the visit will cover the operation and management of the cruise terminal, and the importance of cruising to the tourism industry in Hong Kong.

If you are interested in the cruise industry and wish to enhance your understanding of cruise terminal operations, you are cordially invited to join our visits to KTCT. You will undoubtedly benefit from this valuable learning experience.

The Admission Interview Skills Training Workshop is designed to enhance your interview skills and provide hands-on experience in a mock interview setting. You will have opportunities to practice the techniques and soft skills you've learnt, receiving immediate constructive feedback from the workshop tutor.

The workshop consists of two sections:

Section I

To provide you with a better understanding of interview techniques and what you should be aware of in interviews and how should you interact with interviewers.

Section II

Equip you with practical interview skills and help you gain interview experience by having mock interviews in class with other participants. The Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye announced the Türkiye Scholarships for 2024. Türkiye Scholarships is a government-funded scholarship program awarded to international students and researchers to pursue full-time degree and research at the most prestigious universities in Türkiye. The application period of “Türkiye Scholarships 2024" is between 10 January to 20 February 2024.

Applications for Türkiye Scholarships 2024 are only accepted online via their website. No application fee is required. Scholarships are available for undergraduate, master's, PhD and research degrees in a range of subjects. An application for undergraduate and postgraduate programs allows students to get both admission to a university and a scholarship. St. James’ Settlement Career Sparkle invites students to participate in the "Career Leaders Training Program 職係敢講@活動領袖訓練計劃 2024-2025 (Phase 1)". Through experiential learning activities, they hope the participants could increase their self-understanding and familiarize themselves with different professions, and develop various skills.

The details of this training program are as follow:

Target: Current Year 1 or Year 2 students

Duration: October 2024 to January 2025

Purpose: To explore self-understanding, discover personal abilities, enhance communication and collaboration, and master professional activity leadership skills; being a leader for the "Career Live" experiential game, guiding high school students to understand various job skills and plan for their future

Administrative Officers (AO) are professional public administrators who play a key role in the HKSAR Government. They are involved in policy formulation, resource allocation, implementation of major government programmes and promotion of the interests of Hong Kong in the Mainland and overseas. The deadline for the AO application in 2024/25 is 4 October 2024 at 11:59pm (HK Time).

Entry Requirements
Candidates should have -


    1. A first or second class honours bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; or
    2. A postgraduate degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, where the qualifications considered in totality are comparable to the requirement in (a)(i);
  1. A Pass in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)
  2. A good command of both Chinese and English and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent; and
  3. A pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (Degree / Professional Grades) (BLNST).

They are launching a new, free pre-employment training bootcamp for Junior Data Engineer (JDE) targeting fresh graduates and first-time-job-seekers. Police Mentors act as role models and led mentees from their alma mater to share with them knowledge, experience and challenges in their police career. Through PMP, mentees enjoy opportunities to participate in a diverse range of activities, such as visits to police units, interview workshops, and as summer/winter interns across over a hundred different police units.
