Dr. LAI, Keith Yuk Pui (Acting Dean)

Professional Experience: Dr. Lai has been the Section Leader at HKBU's School of Continuing Education since 2005, leading programme development and accreditation. Previously, he held finance roles at Bank of China, Philips Electronics, Bank of Communications, and KPMG.

Dr. Lai served as a key member of the CLAP-TECH project team, contributing to the successful bid that secured over HK$70 million funding from the HK Jockey Club to support technology education initiatives for this 5-year project.

Professional Experience: Mr. Butt has taught at UOW College Hong Kong since 2010. He is a CFA charterholder and FRM certified professional. He has published extensively, including as co-author of  Introduction to Corporate Finance (Pearson, 2024).

Publication: Co-author of Introduction to Corporate Finance (6th ed., Pearson). He has also published more than 20 article summaries for CFA Digest and authored a journal article on AI and brand experience in the Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration.

Pedagogy: Mr. Butt received the Highly Commended Global Excellence in Teaching Award from UOW Global Enterprises and the Teaching Excellence Award at UOW College Hong Kong in 2023. His teaching adopts a research-led approach, with a strong emphasis on financial modeling and simulation.

Professional Experience: Dr. Lee has been with UOW College Hong Kong since 2008, progressing from Assistant Lecturer to Assistant Professor. She has supervised award-winning student projects and brings valuable industry experience in quality assurance.

Pedagogy: Dr. Lee specializes in teaching Operations Management and Information Systems, and has supervised numerous student business projects, including projects focused on communication studies. Previously, he held maritime-related positions at Hong Kong and Macau Fast Ferries, Discovery Bay Transportation Services Limited and Modern Terminals Limited.

Professional Experience: Mr. Lee has managed 11 Applied Learning courses, recruiting over 2,900 students. He has also designed training programmes for more than 2,000 agents at Sun Life and managed the Asia Learning Academy for over 1,700 colleagues at Informa Markets.

Publication: Mr. Lee is the author of a book chapter and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on corporate training, Gen Z motivation, and post-pandemic consumer behavior, published in journals such as the Global Journal of Management and Business Research.

Professional Experience: Mr. Lui is a seasoned finance leader with over 20 years of experience, including roles as Head of Finance and HR at Zettler Electronics and Chief Financial Officer at Long Tai Hong. He is an HKICPA Qualification Programme Advisor and received the Best Teacher Award in 2024.

Professional Experience: Mr. Yee has 18 years of teaching experience, including full-time positions at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) and Caritas Community and Higher Education Service. He also brings more than 9 years of commercial experience as a Sales and Administration Manager, integrating industry practice into his teaching to enrich student learning.

Pedagogy: A registered teacher of the HKSAR Government, he has taught across various institutions and levels, leveraging his commercial background to provide practical business insights.
