Locating Library Materials

Perform a keyword search using the Library Catalog. To narrow down your search results to books and eBooks, select "Source Types – Books/ebooks." Alternatively, you can use the Advanced Search option and enter your keyword, then select "Material Type – Books/ebooks."

Most books in the library are available for loan. However, there may be a few collections that contain items restricted for in-library use only. If you need assistance in locating a book on the shelf, please refer to the Collections section or consult the library's staff for guidance.

You can access all physical collections available at UOWCHK Library. Once you perform a keyword search, you will see “Available at UOWC Tai Wai Library.”

Alternatively, you can use the "Refine search results" option on the left side. From there, navigate to "UOW libraries" and choose "UOWC Tai Wai Library."

If the titles you're interested in are held by other UOW libraries, you can request to obtain a chapter. The requested chapter will be sent to you via email.

Log into My Library Card using your UOW account to view your loans, requests, fines and messages.

Your student/staff card is also your library card and you can use it to borrow items from the UOWCHK Library.

You can access your borrowing record via your Library Account. You can check your on-loan items under the loan tab.

Sign in to My Library Card to renew items. For information about loan quotas, please refer to Borrowing from UOWCHK page.

Students have a loan period of 28 days for general collection items. You will need to renew the item on your library account manually if you wish to keep it. After two renewals, you are required to return it to the library on or before the due date.

If the item is recalled or when you have finished using it, please return it to the library. If your library membership is due to expire before the 28-day loan period, the due date of your loans will be adjusted accordingly.

For more information, please visit the Borrowing from UOWCHK Library page.

You may borrow the book via a self-checkout station. You may refer to the loaning instructions located next to the kiosk or click here to review the borrowing process.

If the item is "On loan until with a date", it means the title has been checked out by someone else. You may click on "Hold" to request a checked-out item.

Please place the book on the library counter desk, and our staff will assist you in returning your borrowed materials.
