Thirty-seven students from various academic programmes at UOW College Hong Kong took part in a study tour to Wollongong from August 4 to August 18, 2025. While experiencing firsthand what life is like in Australia, the students also had the opportunity to immerse in practical language use through classes, with their homestay families, and across a diverse range of educational and cultural excursions.
Students actively participated in English conversation groups, learning about Australia’s native flora and fauna, boomerang lessons, painting, and more, enjoying themselves and learning through active engagement throughout the programme. In addition to campus tours of the University of Wollongong, the parent institution of UOW College Hong Kong—including the Library and Duck Pond Lawn—students explored local attractions in and around Wollongong, including the renowned “Blue Mile Walk,” the South Coast town of Kiama, and the Nan Tian Temple.
