UOWCHK student wins prestigious scholarship

Congratulations to Miss Wong Yi Ching, an outstanding student in the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Japanese Studies at UOW College Hong Kong, on being awarded the prestigious MEXT Scholarship offered by the Japanese Government.

The Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship is a fully funded programme offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology.  It covers full tuition, admission and application fees, a monthly living stipend (roughly ¥117,000 to ¥242,000), and round-trip airfare for international students. 

Yi Ching commenced her exchange studies at Saitama University in September 2026, and she expressed her appreciation for the support she received from her teachers at UOW College Hong Kong throughout the application process.  Now enjoying her academic and cultural experience in Japan, Yi Ching looks forward to further developing her knowledge and passion for Japanese Studies.
