UOWCHK student becomes Hong Kong Young Ambassador 2026/27

A Year-2 student from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UOW College Hong Kong has been appointed a Hong Kong Young Ambassador.  Miss Amy Xu Kam Yan from the Associate of Arts in Bilingual Communication Studies (Korean and Chinese) completed an intensive summer training programme which equipped participants with essential communication skills, tourism knowledge, and service excellence practices.   

The Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme 2026/27, jointly organised by the Tourism Commission and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), nurtures young talents to promote Hong Kong as a vibrant and welcoming city for its hospitality and service excellence.  The official appointment of the Young Ambassadors took place at the Appointment and Awards Ceremony held on 28 August 2026.

Over the coming year, Amy and other newly appointed ambassadors will take part in a variety of volunteer service initiatives, including welcoming visitors at popular tourist attractions, supporting major tourism events, and organising engagement activities that promote Hong Kong's spirit of hospitality.  “We wish Amy every success as she embarks on this meaningful journey and contributes to showcasing the best of Hong Kong to visitors from around the world!” said Ms Currie Tsang, UOWCHK President.
