In his first visit as Vice-chancellor of the University of Wollongong, Professor Max Lu dropped in at UOW College Hong Kong for a short visit on 21 May 2025. Prof. Lu and his wife Professor Lian Liu attended a lunch with UOWCHK Board of Governors Chair Mr Nicholas Brooke, Australian Consul-General Mr Gareth Williams, UOWGE CEO Asia Ms Jennifer Ng and UOWCHK President Ms Currie Tsang, which was followed by a meet and greet with other members of senior management and a campus tour. Although it was only a short visit, Prof Lu was able to meet with students and staff of the College and was impressed with the facilities at the Tai Wai campus, including state-of-the-art maritime and aviation laboratories, library, fitness and dance studio.
