Two Year-4 students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UOW College Hong Kong have won scholarships to Japan. Miss Tse Hiu Tung and Mr. Mak Hiu Man, both from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Japanese Studies programme, have been selected for the prestigious and competitive Japanese government’s MEXT (文部科学省: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) scholarship, and will study at the Osaka Kyoiku University (大阪教育大学) and Toyama University (富山大学) respectively for one year from September 2025. The MEXT scholarship is worth HKD 100,000 each and covers airfare to Japan, tuition fees, and a monthly allowance of approximately HKD 6,000 during the students’ stay in Japan.
