Students learn Malaysian culture on tour

A group of students from UOW College Hong Kong enjoyed a unique experience of Malaysia as they went on the week-long UOW Malaysia Mobility Tour in June 2026.

Accompanied by Mr Victor King, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, 20 students were able to take part in a variety of activities on the tour, including academic workshops, making Malaysian desserts, Batik painting, and sightseeing visits to Kuala Lumpur’s famous landmarks and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Malacca. 

The tour, one of the guaranteed study tours made available to students at UOWCHK, achieved its goals of enhancing students' intercultural communication skills, cultural awareness and fostering harmonious interaction and relationship building with people from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

“The students surely enjoyed the warm hospitality of hosts UOW Malaysia, and we are grateful to their dedicated staff who gave them a unique and unforgettable cultural experience,” said Mr King.
