New students enrolled in degree, top-up degree, sub-degree, and diploma programmes were warmly welcomed to the College at the start of the 2026-27 Academic Year. To support their smooth transition to college life, the College organized nine New Student Orientation events from 26 August to 4 September, including an Orientation Camp, Orientation Days, and Orientation Nights. More than 900 students participated in these vibrant welcoming activities.
To further help students adapt to their new learning environment, more than ten IT tutorial sessions and eight library tutorial sessions were conducted, benefiting approximately 400 and 380 students respectively. Information booths introduced a wide range of services, programmes, and opportunities available on campus. Participating organizations included Student Services, Student Clubs, non-governmental organizations promoting anti-substance abuse and anti-gambling awareness, the Hong Kong Police Force promoting the Police Mentorship Scheme, and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) promoting the ICAC Ambassadors Programme.
Students appreciated the informative sessions, opportunities to build new friendships, and the support provided to help them settle into college life. The activities also fostered a strong sense of belonging, enabling students to embark on their college journey with confidence, enthusiasm, and a deeper connection to the College community.
