In the latest collaboration with industry, the Faculty of Science and Technology at UOW College Hong Kong recently joined hands with the Ralong Business Technology Academy to offer an innovative executive course. Entitled Low-Altitude Economy: The New Global Productivity Force, the course explores the emerging low-altitude economy, a transformative sector driving global productivity and economic growth. Designed for professionals and executives, and more specifically system designers, drone controllers, business development professionals, event organizers, intelligent city advocates, Government officials, and IoT creators and innovators, the course combines strategic perspectives with practical case studies to prepare leaders for the opportunities and challenges of this new economic frontier. Participants will gain insights into cutting-edge applications such as drone technology, aerial logistics, and smart city integration, equipping them with the knowledge to navigate this rapidly evolving industry.
Classes will be held at the College’s Tai Wai campus over three Saturdays in September 2025 (6, 13 and 20 September) with a total of 21 tuition hours. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance by UOWCHK and Ralong after completion of the course. The course will be taught by Dr Daniel Lau, Director of Technology at Apex-Sphere Ltd and U-Resonance Ltd, who specializes in AI-IoT and smart-city solutions. Dr Lau is a Co-founder of the Ralong Business Technology Academy, and has held roles at City University of Hong Kong, IBM, and Bio-Rad.
