UOW College Hong Kong enhanced its profile as it took part in a forward-looking theme on Artificial Intelligence education recently at the “Workplace Skills UpDays” Experience Day organized by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) on 11-12 October 2025.
The occasion was ideal for demonstrating that the College is at the forefront of education and technology to serve the Hong Kong community and was a useful platform to engage with the public. About 60 prospective students and members of the public visited the College’s booth, where they were introduced to the ERB courses on offer including AI courses. There were two cartoon presentations at the UOWCHK booth, which was connected to the ERB's R-NetX system for processing applicants.
Other features of the exhibition included hands-on demonstration, course information sharing and skills training workshops, interactive skill challenges and competitions, and on-the-spot applicants processing. The exhibition was an excellent environment for engagement that drew over 1,200 visitors throughout the two days. Key information concerning the College, including ERB course fees, detailed curriculum information, and the location of the College’s campus, were given to the visitors. The event helped raise the profile of the College as a proactive leader in nurturing the talent required for Hong Kong’s evolving economy.
