Representatives from the Government, Transport industry and academia gathered at UOW College Hong Kong on 12 July 2025 for a forum to explore the future of the motor transport industry in the age of AI-assisted driving. The forum examined issues presented by the breakthrough development of artificial intelligence, which has affected the commercialization of autonomous driving, threatening jobs as well as creating far-reaching impact on the entire transportation industry. The event was officiated by the Honourable Stanley Ng Chau-pei, Legislative Councilor and President of the Federation of Trade Unions, and Mr. Ho Kai-ming, JP, Undersecretary for Labour and Welfare. Among the speakers was UOW College Hong Kong’s Dr. Zhong Junpei, Joni, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology.
