Experiential learning is actively integrated into the curriculum of many courses at the College, encouraging students to extend their learning beyond the classroom and engage with authentic real-world contexts. Students in Putonghua courses participate in street interviews and visit cultural institutions such as the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Students in Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature courses engage in study visits to the Hong Kong Literature House and explore the Central and Western District Literary Trail, retracing the footsteps of renowned literary figures who left their mark on Hong Kong. These field-based learning experiences deepen students’ understanding of language, culture, and literature through direct observation and engagement.
