It was an evening of reminiscences, camaraderie and reconnecting with classmates of old. About 100 alumni of UOW College Hong Kong (UOWCHK) from its four faculties, teachers and staff got together for a fun evening of nostalgia and renewal at the 2026 Alumni Homecoming and Chinese New Year Dinner on 27 February. Held at the College, the event kicked off with Welcome Remarks from Ms Currie Tsang, UOWCHK President, who took the opportunity to update the alumni on the latest developments at the College, including the campus, new academic programmes and, pending approval, a proposed new Chinese name for the College. Ms Amy Wat, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), gave an inspiring talk on life and financial planning for the attendees. Interesting topics covered included open-mindedness on careers, prioritizing quality of life, goal setting and adaptability --- all practical advice for alumni. The evening culminated in good fun at the Year of the Horse New Year Greeting Marathon, where auspicious slogans and sayings were constructed out of given words in Chinese and English. All in all, it was a memorable evening of good food, fun games, joyful reunion, and interesting conversations.
