UOW College Hong Kong celebrated the new year by announcing the 2025 Staff Awards at a ceremony on 16 January 2026. The ceremony was followed by a casual staff lunch at a nearby restaurant. Among the 2025 award winners was Employee of the Year Dr Virginia Yeung, Director of Quality Assurance, who was also the winner of the Excellence in Professional Service Award. Dr Yeung said she was honored to receive the awards and thanked her team’s contributions. A full list of UOWCHK 2025 award winners is as follows:

Mr Nicholas Brooke, GBS JP, Chair of UOWCHK Board of Governors, opened proceedings, followed by encouraging remarks from Ms Marisa Mastroianni, Group CEO and Managing Director of UOW Global Enterprises (UOWGE). Professor Rebecca CHIU from the University of Hong Kong, Board of Governors Member; and Mr Vincent CHOW Wing Shing, Council Member, joined Mr Brooke and UOWCHK President Ms Currie Tsang to present some of the awards. “An organization is only as good as its people. As we went through our adjudication process of selecting the awardees this year, we found people who are around us almost every day, but who never openly advertise their work,” said Ms Tsang. Ms Tsang reminded colleagues that they must all work as a team to ensure that students have superior learning experience, and said she looked forward to UOW College Hong Kong hosting the UOWGE Global Staff Awards later in the year.
