Students were the stars and focus of attention at the Presentation Scholarship Ceremony 2025-26 of UOW College Hong Kong on 29 April 2026. Ms Currie Tsang, UOWCHK President, opened proceedings with remarks that paid tribute to the unwavering support and dedication of academic staff to foster an environment of excellence in learning and teaching.
Scholarships and awards were presented to the deserving awardees by members of the senior management to recognize their achievements in various fields. The scholarships not only recognize current achievements of students but also provide them with the necessary resources that helped them in their pursuit of their goals.
The event was a celebration of students’ academic excellence, outstanding performance in competitive events, and other remarkable achievements that spread over all faculties of the College. It was a testimony to their hard work and dedication, and it also highlighted the significant impact of scholarships in supporting their educational journey.
Ms Tsang called on the scholarship winners to help others by serving as peer mentors, offer academic guidance to classmates facing challenges, or extend care and encouragement to peers experiencing stress, or share work experiences or provide internship opportunities to fellow students as they plan their careers.
“We must not forget who we are and where we come from. Acts of care, support, and generosity, no matter how small, can have a profound and lasting impact on others’ learning journeys,” she added.
