Computer Officer/Assistant Computer Officer/Technical Assistant in
the College Office

UOW College Hong Kong (“UOWCHK”), currently also named as Community College of City University (“CCCU”), is widely acknowledged as one of the leading institutions of its kind in Hong Kong, providing quality tertiary education for about 5,000 students. The College offers a wide range of Degrees, Associate Degree (AD) programmes, a Diploma in General Studies, and International Language Proficiency Tests with preparatory courses. In association with the University of Wollongong (Australia), the College offers top-up degrees for associate degree/higher diploma graduates. Duties
The appointees should possess high proficiency in the fields of system administration, network configuration, support and web development. He/She will work as an individual amongst a small team to provide technical support and software development.

 

Requirements
Applicants must have a good honours degree in computer science, software engineering or information engineering with at least 5 years of post-qualification working experience. (Applicants who have a Higher Diploma/Diploma or Associate Degree in computer science, network administration or information technology with less working experience, will be considered for the post of Assistant Computer Officer/Technical Assistant.)

 

Applicants shall have programming experience with a) Visual Basic, C++, or Java language; or b) SQL, PHP/MYSQL, and c) be familiar with Windows Ten. An IT training including programming and system support in education/training environment is desirable.

 

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will normally be made on fixed-term contract for 1-2 year(s). Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental schemes, where applicable.
