More than 90 students from various secondary schools joined the Enhanced Economics Module for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) organized by the Faculty of Business at UOW College Hong Kong. The module, designed to strengthen students’ understanding of key concepts and improve their exam techniques, used visual aids and practical examples to enable the easy learning of complex theories. Topics covered included Efficiency and the Role of Government, Determination of National Income and Price level, Fiscal and Monetary Policies and Their Effectiveness, and International Trade and Finance. At the end of the 9-hour programme through three days in November 2025 and January 2026, students went through a mock examination, which allowed them to assess their progress and apply what they learned under exam conditions. “This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to supporting students at a crucial stage of their academic journeys, providing not only knowledge but also confidence to face upcoming challenges. It was also a good opportunity to showcase the College’s great campus environment to the students,” said Mr Toby Butt, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business.
