Korean Language Ability Test (KLAT)

Information for KLAT 2023

The Korean Language Ability Test – KLAT (한국어능력평가시험), one of the two official Korean language tests (the other one is TOPIK), is operated by KETS (Korea Educational Testing Service) and recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korean Government.

Here at the International Language Proficiency Testing Centre (ILPT) of UOWCHK, we organize KLAT twice a year as approved by EDB (The Education Bureau) of Hong Kong SAR Government for the CEF (Continuing Education Fund).

Application

  • Application Period: 3 March 2023 – 14 March 2023
  • Registration Fee: HK$450

Test Schedule

Beginner Level

9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Intermediate Level

9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Advanced Level

9:30 a.m. - 12:30 pm

Notes for applicants on the test:

  1. You must bring your ID card, pencil and eraser.
  2. You are not allowed to bring mobile phone, electronic/smart devices, tablet or dictionary to the test room.
  3. You must enter the test room by 9:00am on the test day.
  4. Online result inquiry or questions: visit the KLAT homepage at http://www.kets.or.kr/
