全球學習法語的人數超過2億7千萬人，在香港特區的法語群體亦十分龐大及活躍，法資機構涉及不同領域，因此學習法語是擴闊眼界，發展事業的良好機遇。學生修畢課程後能夠掌握良好選修語文能力 (法語及中文/英文)，應付未來進修及就業需要。畢業生水平相當於歐洲共同語言參考標準 (B1級)。學生參加不同活動以提升社交技巧及語文水平，例如法國里昂交流團、法語電影學會、法國五月藝術節等。

Programme structure and outcomes
學生修畢課程後能夠：
- 純熟運用選修語言(法語及英語)於生活、社交、文化及工作層面進行口語及書面溝通，水平相當於國際語文能力考試測試的認可程度*；
- 掌握良好語文能力，應付未來進修、就業及個人發展需要；
- 掌握選修語言及相關社會文化的進階知識，並應用於將來的進修及/或工作；
- 在適當指導下探索及深入研究問題，並在搜集相關資料後，通過獨立研究或團隊合作模式完成研究；
- 將人文、藝術、科學和科技的主要概念聯繫到語言學習的領域中。
